Very busy day today, we always have our ‘Flying Dutchman’, Mark (He’s a Dutch flower wholesaler who comes around in his big wagon and sells flowers to us) visit the house early Friday morning (it’s easier for him to park at the back of the house than in front of the shop). Jan loves going on the wagon, she’s like a kid in a candy store what with all the lovely fresh flowers (I have to restrain her in buying the whole lot…..!!). It’s quite amazing how his operation works, he flies over to the UK each Tuesday, collects his wagon form The Port of Tyne and then travels all over the North East and North Yorkshire selling. He then drops the wagon off back at the Port late Friday and fly’s back to Holland that night. No wonder he always looks really tired when we see him!
